Community Venues Coordinator

Cloncurry Shire Council is looking for a Community Venues Coordinator to oversee the efficient operation of our community venues and facilities. What We Offer:Salary of $77,500 to $86,000 per annum, depending on qualifications/experience) + SuperYearly Leave: 15 days Personal (Sick) Leave, 13 RDOs, and 5 weeks Annual LeaveLocality Allowance per annum - $1,500 (single) - $3,000 (with dependants)Housing Assistance: Remote Area Housing Assistance per annum ($3,000 Renting/$4,500 Homeowner)Professional development and training opportunities This full-time position supports internal and external users by coordinating access to spaces for events, meetings, and activities. The position is the main point of contact for all venue hire and works closely with community groups, families, and local organisations to support smooth and safe use of Council facilities.The role involves managing venue bookings using Council’s booking system, ensuring spaces are set up and maintained, and providing support during functions when required. Responsibilities include liaising with hirers, overseeing compliance and access, managing equipment and inventory, supporting marketing efforts, and preparing basic financial documentation. The position also contributes to venue policy development and service improvements.While experience in venue, event, or facility management is beneficial, it is not essential.
